Couple’s Quest Dating Adventures to the rescue!
These dates are a unique blend of information to bring awareness to your relationship dynamics along with a fun activity to do together. The information provided is easily incorporated into your everyday life and can be put to use immediately. All of the concepts come from research done by John and Julie Gottman on what successful couples are doing across a lifetime together. Remember it is the smallest shifts that can make the biggest difference.
The time to make your relationship a priority is now! Join me in 2024, as we explore 6 different date opportunities that offer a range of information and activities. No planning involved other than registering and showing up. Let’s talk about our third date.
Date #3
This date will be focusing on self care and play. The ability to give space for these two things on a regular basis can greatly impact your mental capacity to stay in a good head space for your relationship. Join Small Things Often and Laurel Hill State Park Educators for a relaxing evening on the water. We will take some time to connect with our surroundings before taking to the water and exploring the area in kayaks. All equipment is included and there will be a brief introduction into kayaking if you are a beginner. You will want to wear clothing that allows you to move comfortably and shoes that are conducive to getting wet. You may want to consider leaving some items that are not waterproof in your car or have a way to keep them protected on the water. Dress appropriately for the weather. Sunscreen and/or bug spray may be a good idea. Half of the proceeds from this event (after credit card fees) will be donated back to the Friends of Laurel Hill Group to help with projects around the park.
