Keeping the spark alive in your relationship can be challenging. Our lives are full of distractions that draw our attention elsewhere.
You may find it difficult to make time to nurture your relationship with your partner.
Thinking about where to go and what to do seems like one more thing to add to your “to do” list.
You always defer to the same activities, the same conversations, and same places.
I hear you! I meet with many couples that struggle with finding activities that allow space for connection that nurtures their relationship. This information is where the idea of “Dating Adventures to Build Reconnection” was born. My training has taught me that couple’s foundations are built upon a strong “friendship” base.
You may be wondering what this all means? No Worries! I have planned five different dates that will guide you to incorporate some easy concepts that you can build into your relationship to make big shifts. We will engage in fun activities that will allow for different “date” opportunities to put this information into action.
Let’s just take a moment to imagine…no planning, no trying to come up with a different place or activity, no stress! All you have to do is sign up for the “dates” that you find interesting and show up at the right location. I will take care of the rest!
Whether you’re new in your relationship or have been together for years…it never hurts to learn ways to maintain connection throughout your journey together.
Let’s Talk About Date #4
The art of listening can be difficult for many of us. We often get hooked by the way something is said or how we are approached by another person. Sometimes, we get distracted by our phone going off or the television show that we are watching.
Our fourth date focuses on the different roles of speaker and listener. Couple’s will receive some guidance in what it looks like to be in both of these roles along with some other communication tips. You and your partner will then put this knowledge into action by directing each other on how to create a unique piece through the art of hand-building with clay. Creating with clay is a process, you each will practice patience as you wait 2-4 weeks for your pieces to dry properly and be fired in the kiln. The end result will be that each of you will have a piece of pottery that you created together through effective communication. These pieces will be a wonderful symbol of what can be accomplished through communication and teamwork. Arrangements for delivery or pick up will be discussed at the event.
No need to dress up for this date…working with clay can get you messy.
